RESET

Helping midlife women carry less

You may already know what might help.

The hard part is reaching it when the pressure is high.

Your jaw is tight. The list is already scrolling.

You say yes before you've checked whether there is actually room. And the word for kettle? Gone.

You fix the next urgent thing, answer the next question, keep everything moving, all before your morning coffee.

You may have done alot of therapy, coaching, read the books, listened to the podcasts and become very informed about yourself - even your loved ones.

And still, at 2pm on a Tuesday, you reach for the old yes.

The push-through. The urgent fix. The thing that keeps everyone else happy but costs you later. Yes, old habits die hard.

You may not need more information.

Sometimes you need help reaching what might help when the pressure is high.

And when things are steadier, RESET gives you space to notice your patterns, learn what helps, and shape things before the pressure builds again.

And sometimes you don’t need another strategy for coping with everything. You need less to cope with.

That's what the RESET is for.

Notice the pressure sooner.

Steady your way.

Lighten what’s too much - and find what’s enough.

Shape your one next move that fits.

Keep what works for you.

 Alongside other women.

The RESET starts with a 90-minute workshop,

followed by a guided 60-minute monthly Circle — a place to keep practicing, lightening what you can, and staying connected.

Notice. Steady. Lighten. Shape. Keep.

Together.

Pressure has signals.

The RESET is a practical coaching practice for midlife women carrying too much

Not to solve your whole life.

Not to make you wonderfully calm while you continue doing everything for everybody. That rather defeats the point.

Instead, you learn to pause long enough to ask:

What is happening? What would help me steady?

What is enough here?

What can I put down, change, ask for or hand back?

What is one next move my real life can hold?

Fine. Not quite.

THE RESET WEEKEND

THE RESET WEEKEND

A live 90-minute small-group workshop on Zoom.

Across the session, you kickstart your own RESET practice.

NOTICE

Catch the clues that pressure is building.

Body. Mind. Mood. Day.

STEADY

Find something that helps you become steady enough to choose.

Not perfectly calm.

Just enough room to hear yourself again.

LIGHTEN

Ask: What is enough here?

Then look at what can be: let go of · worked with · protected · handed back

SHAPE

Choose one move that changes something.

A clearer no. A simpler yes. More support. A smaller expectation. A conversation. A step toward something that matters.

KEEP

Notice what genuinely helped. Live what works. Come back to it. Adjust it as life changes.

One small move at a time

You are not trying to rescue or solve everything today.

Life contains things we cannot undo and things we cannot control.

But you do have today.

You can notice what is happening. Find enough steadiness to choose. Decide what is enough. Lighten something that has become too much. And make one move toward a life that fits you better.

One is enough to start.

See how the RESET works ↓

You don't have to do it alone

Some things are easier to practice alongside other women.

You hear someone describe a pattern and think: Oh. Me too.

You try different language. Hear another perspective. Borrow a little steadiness.

Realize you are not the only person who somehow put down three things last week and picked up five more by Tuesday.

We recognize ourselves in each other’s stories, and we often find more ease, perspective and courage when we do things together.

Not because anyone else can fix our lives. Our lives aren’t problems to be fixed.

Because we don’t have to figure everything out — even the next step — alone.

And it doesn't end after 90 minutes

Because understanding RESET once and being able to use it when life gets loud are different things.

Old overload habits die hard.

Your RESET Weekend includes one year of access to the monthly RESET Circle.

The Circle is a 60-minute guided online practice group where women come back together to pause  &· notice · practice · lighten · shape · keep

Sometimes you catch the pressure early. Sometimes you realize you've somehow picked half of it back up again. Sometimes you are not sure if a certain load you want to let go of is yours or not.

That's life.

 So you RESET — together.

Your RESET Menu

Choosing what you Keep in your life

You are not given or reaching for somebody else's perfect routine.

You begin building a practical collection of things that work for you.

A 90-second pause. A walk around the block.

A sentence that brings you back to yourself. A clearer no. A simpler yes.

A person you ask for help. A way to make something smaller.

A reminder that not everything is yours to carry.

Chosen by you. Tried in your real life. Kept because it helps.

What helps may change as you and your life change. There’s no final “Ah — done!”

You keep what works and bring it forward when you need it.

Something you can actually reach when Tuesday gets Tuesday-ish.

How will you know it's helping?

Not because you become calm all the time.

You may start to notice you are:

Catching the pressure build earlier,

pausing before automatically overriding yourself,

recovering a little sooner, asking for help,

letting one thing be easier,

making one decision without interrogating it for three hours,

saying a cleaner no or an honest yes, coming back to yourself sooner.

Not perfect.

A small enough shift that there is more room for what matters.

more room for what matters

More room for what matters

As some of the load lightens, there can be more room for:

clarity, rest, connection, health, creativity, the people you love, the things you've been wanting to return to.

You don't have to overhaul your life to begin making more room inside it.

THE RESET WEEKEND

Held by Janna Rowe

Internationally certified coach · teacher · author

Thirty years across coaching, teaching, writing, performance and creative practice.

The RESET grew from a question Janna kept meeting in her own life and work with women:

Do we even notice how much pressure we’re carrying before we push through it — and when we do notice, can we reach what might actually help?

Her RESET approach has been shaped over decades of learning, teaching, coaching and living — informed by psychological and nervous-system approaches, neuroaffirming practice, stress and burnout education, performing arts, reflective traditions and lived experience. It continues to evolve through coaching, RESET workshops and Circles.

Through RESET, Janna creates spaces for women to pause, hear themselves again and practice what helps. She is also part of active global communities that offer women opportunities for relief, recognition, clarity and connection — and is seeing the RESET Circle begin to grow into that kind of space too.

Her latest book, What is Bad Stress? Good Stress, Bad Stress, Overload and the Practice of Letting It Go For Midlife Women Carrying Too Much explores this work if you are curious -  a quiet weekend read!

Amazon Book Review
5 out of 5 stars
A practical book that will genuinely help

This is a useful book. There is lots of familiar ideas in here but the stand out factor is that is genuinely helpful. There is a system to use. There are examples for how to follow the system and it is very achievable. The author suggests small steps which I feel makes it more achievable.

This is for you if

This may be for you if...

You are a midlife woman carrying too much and wanting more room for what matters.

You may be dealing with:

  • hormonal changes
  • caregiving
  • work
  • family responsibility
  • relationship pressure
  • decision fatigue
  • or years of being the capable one everyone relies on

You may already understand yourself very well.

But under pressure you still find yourself:

  • saying yes too quickly
  • pushing through
  • overthinking
  • fixing the urgent thing
  • keeping the peace
  • ignoring your own signals
  • or running on empty

Or things may be relatively steady for now, and you want space to notice what helps, what is enough, what you want to stop carrying, and what you want more room for.

Either way, The RESET gives you space to notice what helps, practice what works, and make choices your actual life can hold.

This isn't the right fit if...

You first need crisis support or clinical treatment. The RESET is coaching and guided practice. It can sit alongside therapy, counseling and medical care. It does not replace them.

Questions you MAY HAVE

A few questions

I already know a lot. Why would this be different?

You are not starting again.

The problem may not be knowing. It may be reaching what might help when pressure rises — and having space when things are steadier to work out what actually fits.”

RESET gives you a simple rhythm to practice and come back to:

Notice. Steady. Lighten. Shape. Keep.

Do I have to talk or show my face?

No.

Camera off is welcome.

Quiet participation is full participation.

What happens afterwards?

Your workshop starts the practice.

Your Playbook and Check-Ins help you use it between sessions.

And your included monthly Circle gives you a group to connect with and a space (Zoom) to keep practicing for the following year.

Is this therapy?

No.

RESET is coaching and guided practice and does not replace therapy, counseling, medical care or crisis support.
